Our purpose

Every year our waters take people we love. We bring them home.

HEART is a volunteer underwater search and recovery team. When someone drowns, their family is often left waiting for an answer that never comes. We find that answer, with care and at no cost to the family, so they can begin to grieve.

Where we respond

Based in Morris, Manitoba, ready to travel wherever we're needed.

HEART grew out of the Hutterian community, and we respond to calls across Western Canada and beyond. If a family or an agency needs an underwater search team, we will sort out the distance. The call comes first.

We never charge the families we help.

The work still costs money to do. Dive gear, sonar, fuel and the vehicles are paid for by donations and sponsors. Your gift keeps the team ready for the next call.
